An end-of-life drive is an immediate production stop
Older VFDs (legacy Yaskawa models, ABB ACS400/500 series, older Danfoss VLT drives) are increasingly hard to source parts for, and a failed drive on a critical motor is an immediate production stop. We replace end-of-life drives with a properly sized current model, integrate it into your existing panel or a new UL 508A enclosure, update the wiring and documentation, and commission it on your actual load rather than a generic setup.
Fixing the last emergency replacement too
We also see VFDs that were replaced in a hurry during a prior emergency and never properly integrated: parameters copied from the old drive without re-tuning, no updated drawing, no spare on hand. Part of a proper retrofit is making sure that doesn’t happen again: documented settings, a labeled panel, and a plan for the next one.
